OSCE’s experience of co-operation with Ukrainian partners in strengthening civil security sector capacities

195

For over two decades the OSCE has been working with Ukrainian partners – emergency responders, law enforcers, officials and lawmakers – on various aspects of civil security. After the start of the full-scale war against Ukraine in 2022, the focus of project assistance to the country under the OSCE Support Programme has been on chemical emergency response, humanitarian demining, and enhancing the system of psychological support to civil security professionals.

During the Europe Civil Security Forum Ambassador Petr Mares, Special Representative of the OSCE Chairmanship – Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine, will share  the OSCE experience in building successful partnerships with Ukrainian institutions.

The event is organized by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in partnership with the All-Ukrainian association of local self-governments «Association of amalgamated territorial communities» within the framework of a project supported by the European Commission under the EU Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM).
